De l’infini au centre - From the infinite to the center - 무한에서 중심으로

Personal exhibition by the artist Jocelyn AKWABA-MATIGNON, located as part of the France-Korea 2016 year (French Institute) and presented at the premises of the Korea Foundation in Seoul in October 2016, it consists of around forty pictorial works as well as an art installation.

This artistic work is a questioning on the plurality of our cultures and on the universal meaning of art in general, on its means of bringing together and bringing people together.
What are the elements of our humanity that serve to connect us, to bring us closer?
From the infinity of the elements of materialization which constitute our visible world to the elements of permanence of the essence of our "beings", this pictorial research composed of multiple layers covered and overlapped with each other is a mirror of our human quest.
To return, after a necessary journey of exploration of the measurable world to “know”, to the center of ourselves and of all things, to walk towards knowledge. It is a quest for identity.
